Tutorial: Printable 3D Anamorphic Artwork

How To Create A Printable 3D Anamorphic Artwork

I was bored again so I decided to try something new that's still 3D related. Well, it's not so new, really, coz I've seen this around the web for a while now. It's called 3D Anamorphic Art. If you've been to 3D Art Museums, you'll notice how distorted the artworks look like, so that when you take photos in the right angle, it'll create a 3D illusion.

Wanna know how they're doing it? Let's start from a smaller scale, like, on printed paper, from your computer. It's pretty easy actually.

Step 1: Download "The Grid"

Right-click the image below, then select Save image as...

Then hide the grid or the Background layer by ticking the "eye-con", get it? Hihihi.

Step 5: Print the photo

The print-out looks bluish coz our printer's running out of black ink. #apologies

I hope you did. You can even try this on a bigger scale. Once I get my first DSLR, I'll take photos like these on the streets. Hehehe. Here are more 3D Anamorphic Artworks!
